Habla Espanol....Hell NO Ma'fucka!

Recently I was watching Selena at home (see a cool clip above). I was taken back to when I first saw this movie Jennifer Lopez (in arguably her best performance) blew me away, I remeber 1997 and seeing this movie and being immersed in the hispancic culture. Fast forward to now and seeing this movie made me realize what a different view I have of Hispanics, tere culture, and their impact on America. First let me say I love Hispanics and I must say as another minority group looking in I am a little jealous. Hispanics can trace there roots (I as a black man can go but so far), they seem to stick together (America has done enough to the black family that the black "family" seems to be a thing of the past), They have the numbers (As the biggest minority group in America now they are flexing major political power). Now I will chime in on the issue of immigration. I feel if they are illegal, put em in JAIL! People say our jails are crowded, build more! When there sentence is up...send them home! Protect our border! Build a giant electric wall and keep them out. Repeal the law if you are born here you are a US citizen, I don't think it is fair that if u sneak into the coutry illegally u get to stay because u have a child! Selena made me realize how dynamic of an impact hispanic-americans have on our country. Why do I feel so strongly...NO other immagrants come in and try to get accomodated. Wherever the other immagrants come from most can speak ENGLISH, which should be made the official launguage of America. Sometimes have to know Spanish just to order at Mc Donalds (thank god i took AP spanish in high school and college), just the other day I saw a poor bilingual hispanic haveing to work 3 registers because the people at the front DIDN"T SPEAK ENGLISH. I don't want to READ spanish on signs...I don't want to PRESS 1 for ENGLISH it should be automatic! I don't want to HEAR the STAR SPANGLED BANNER IN SPANISH. If you are going to immigrate to a country I think u should KNOW it! If hispanics did a mass push to get them all english speaking I would have no problem! Thats my rant and rave...on this issue
