DREAMGIRLS MOVIE REVIEW!!!!!

Yesterday I had the privilege of seeing Dreamgirls with members of the press here in DC. It blew me away! I didn't think the original Broadway show could be captured but it was...INCREDIBLE. A 4 star movie, if you like musicals you will LOVE it. My date (who doesn't like musicals) LOVED the singing and walked away with a new Love Jennifer Hudson. The line she sings "and YOU your gonna love me" resonates with me even now as I cannot stop thinking about her performance you are truly going to LOVE this young lady if you don't already.

Beyonce was incredible as Deena Jones. The weight that she lost for the role paid off and she looked older, but even more beautiful than I have ever seen her. She truly dazzled me with her beauty, voice and surprisingly he acting. Beyonce showed me a depth I truly didn't think that she had in her. She was sweet, charming, genuine, wholesome and even "virginal" and generally I don't see her in that way...It was nice to see a different side of Beyonce.

Jamie Foxx was great as Curtis Taylor Jr. he was very evil and calculating which truly gave him the ability to flex his Oscar award winning acting chops...

Eddie Murphy was GENIUS in his role...he truly is a GREAT comedian. But he has depth beyond comedy and he can actually sing!!!

This movie is a MUST SEE!!! With probably the best black ensemble cast since the color purple...this movie is a no brainer. I got goosebumps abut 5 times through the movie (and NO the theater wasn't that cold), the performances were that good. I could go on and on and on but I won't.
