Man on Music - Save the Last Dance 2 Sountrack Review
3 stars (out of 4) - Work
WOW! No I did not see the movie, lol. But this soundtrack is making me think of taking a trip to Blockbuster and renting it. This is a TRULY SOLID soundtrack! I think its refreshing because with the exception of Joe everybody else is relatively a newcomer and MOST of these newcomers BRING IT!!! Plus Neyo wrote and produced each song...he really is making himself a modern day Babyface!!!!
Tracks you will LOVE include Neyo's Watch you Dance an uptempo treat that has made its way quickly to my favorite song of the moment, Ruben Studdards ballad Feel Beautiful finally he gets a song that is written WELL this makes me fall BACK in love with him after that CRAP he put out the first time, Heavy-alto Debraca with Dance Alone a song we all can relate too, Candace Jones with You and Me I love it a grown and sexy Song, and lastly Joe's It's On You which is a wonderful look for Joe...
The CD is not without its fillers and a couple of tracks weigh this soundtrack down to me. More Specifically: The songs by Noel, T-Pain, Ryan Toby, and Rhianna seem forced and out of place. Maybe these songs fit the dance sequences in the movie well but for me they just plain STINK!
Overall this CD is solid and you will enjoy listening to it, just make sure your remote is close by you might be doing a little bit of skipping!
